Good Engine for VB and Delphi programmers
Posted by: Dilshan at Nov 8, 2004
6DX is an excellent engine for Delphi. But there are few problems in following areas. (this may happens in all my PCs)
- It is very difficult to install 6DX on Delphi 6 (Enterprise Edition). During the ActiveX 'unit' installation it reports several conversion errors. (But after the HUGE modification it works successfully !!).
- Comparing with other engines this engine is some what slow. (on my Nivida GeForce 4 (128 MB VRAM) adapter)

In Visual Basic (Version 6) 6DX works successfully. 6DX Documentation is well documented and easy to understand. Comparing with other leading engines (like TV3D, kjAPI, etc) this is 75% OK.

6DX I use it...
Posted by: Montie at Oct 28, 2006
6DX

I use it and in fact have a new forum dedicated to it. I know of a few others that use it as well. The source is still available at SourceForge and some demos and information as well as the 6DX forum are available at AAA.

Quark has a dedicated 6DX map editor available.

Milkshape makes an excellent modelling package for 6DX.
