Hi, I'm AzuShina, short for Azu Shinamori. As you can guess by my screen name, I am a fan of Japan (Although I don't know their language). I've been interested in Video game Development for a while. See, my goals is to great a Game Maker program. See, I've always been interest in game development programs such as Multimedia Fusion. I'm in college right now for Game Art Design, or "Digital Media". Game programming is something I want to do on the side as a mini job so-to-speak. I want to based my development mostly on the RPG and Adventure field. I actually want to create an RPG maker specify designed to make Tales of "Series" types. For those who doesn't know, the Tales series refer to the games made by Namco. Tales of Phantasia, Tales Destiny, Tales of Eternia, Tales of the Abyss, etc. There's is an RPG Maker out, but in my opinion, it sucks. The tales games uses a real-time battle system called [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LMBS]LMBS[url]. So, what type of language would be right for this task? My guess would be C++. I have book on it. Out of the 284 engines on the mainsite, what (free) engine would be best to work off of?
