I'm working on a simple, single player, 3rd-person platformer. Outdoors. Focused on running and jumping on large, mobile objects.
I don't give a darn about cool visuals, advanced physics, or networking.
Been working with Torque and it's slow going. I can code but it's not my expertise, and working out the collision issues is painful.
What I *really* want is UnrealEngine's (relatively) robust Movers in an affordable package.
My research so far suggests the grass ain't much greener elsewhere. But maybe there is an engine that is already really solid for player interaction with moving objects? A boy can dream.
Recommendations appreciated.
