Our Singapore based studio has an exceptional opportunity for an enthusiastic and talented individual to join us as Lead Programmer for a 2/3 months contract on our new and exciting online PC project. So come join us in Singapore and discover our rich ethnic, cultural and historical heritage and visit the sights and sounds of Singapore along the streets of Chinatown, Kampong Glam and Little India.
This position will primarily be responsible for:
• Leading programming teams;
• Producing technical documentation based on a game design;
• Ensuring good communication within the programming team, and being the link between the programming team and other parts of the company;
• Mentoring junior programmers to bring up their technical skills;
• Working with the Technical Director and Producer to schedule tasks, and to meet project deadlines
Requirements:
• Proven technical leadership & people-management skills
• At least five years of solid game development experience on published titles
• Strong C/C++ programming skills on one or more platforms:
o Windows PC
o Unix/Linux
o Game Consoles
o Handheld devices
• Strong mathematics background, highly analytical in work style
• Expertise in one or more of the following game development-related areas:
o DirectX/OpenGL Graphics programming
o Physics engines
o Animation systems
o AI systems
o Audio programming
o Network programming
o Database programming
• Understanding of game design, the development pipeline, and production stages
• Good communication skills in English
• Passion for playing and creating videogames!
Plus points
• Knowledge of 3D modeling packages, Photoshop/GIMP
