New game - racing .. which engine ?

Hi all,

i wanna make my own game. a racing game. I have knowledge in gamestudio A7.

I would like to know which engine is the best for this (i would prefer cheap or open source one) as i am gonna release the game for free. its just a personal project.

and if anyone has a good story for a racing game, ideas are welcome :)
