Hello, I would like to ask you a question...
I'm learning to program a car game. I need at least a 3d track to test physics and graphics. I'm looking for a loader or tutorial that permits to load a 3d track model of one from F1 challenge, rFactor, GTR or similar games... I made a search but without success.
Anyone could help me??
Thanks in advance
Bye

Models from games are usually stored in a proprietary data format that can't easily be opened by another program. An exception to this is games that are user moddable. I'm not familiar with any of the games you mentioned, but if none of them is user moddable you're probably out of luck and will have to make your own track model.

Hello, thx for your reply.
Yes I know the problem of proprietary format but I know the existence of 3dsimed or TrackMaker... The fact is that I'm a programmer and not a graphic and I don't know how to use them... I'm searching tutorial but without success... F1 challenge from EA is moddable, there are a lot of user in-house tracks... However, I'm not interested in a particular track from a particular game... Anyone knows where I could find a free 3d track model in a friendly format like .max, .3ds, .obj or better .X ??
Bye
