i don't know if i should ask this here, but. i want to make a "super metroid" type game with xna. They have a 150mb size limit for the games and i have no clue how big that is. So could i make a game as big as "super metroid" with 150mb?

from what I gather, the super nintendo's cartridge held a maximum of 48 megabytes... so that's a yes ^_^

... more like 48 MBits, the largest game I know of was Tales of Phantasia back then, which came at a whopping 6,6 MBytes :)
The original Super Metroid came at a mere 3MB.
However, one also needs to consider that modern games have a much higher data load (i.e. the executable itself may already be at 1 or 2 MB, depending on linking, compiler optimization, ...), and you'll perhaps also use higher quality, altough compressed, graphics.
Yet I think 150 mb are plenty for a 2D sidescrolling game.
