is there a way I could use my real name for anyone seeing my stutff instead of my account user name?

or is it possible to have a nickname also with my account ?
I want a different name than my login user name to be shown.

There is a place for your real name in your profile. Yes I have thought about this too. Perhaps as a sig?

You mean have the Real name show in the profile? This is fixed now, and you should see that information in your profile.

I meant having my real name shown when I post messages instead of "wd40" which is my login user name obviously.

Ok, the real name now shows up for people who have filled in that field in their profile. Is this what you wanted?

heh, cool, but that's not what I meant :)
I was talking about my "wd40" user name that is shown at the same place "Dia Kharrat" is shown.

Could I somehow have a checkbox so I could instead show my real name? Or maybe I should just create another account because I don't quite like my user name as it is...

speaking of which, you never did give me your email address so I can give you the gmail invite...

ah I see...I can change it for you. However, when you log in, you'll have to use your real name as your log in account.

It's same with the damn Yahoo! I keep getting virused PIF attachments (~20 daily) but the funny thing is that i can't set a spam protection 'cause i actually recieve the stuff from my own mail address :)

mihail. he had a (simple) obfuscation on his e-mail (by not writing an @). you have now written his email pain the way it is readable for all internet-robots..

you have given now opportunity to the whole world of spamers to find his mail and spam him.

don't do that again, please. there is reason people write obfuscated mail adresses.

and btw, i don't get any spam on any of my accounts and i do have quite some.. used rather regularly, too. learn how to use your pc's, dudes! :D

no shit? Well look @ (at) the bright side of it! By writing his e-mail address for the robots i actually encourage the further development of more efficient AI algorithms!!! So i've kinda done a good deed :D

But seriously... i know damn well why people are obfuscating their e-mail addresses... so i'll correct my mistake (look above!)

I very rairly get any spam at my gmail address. That is with forwarding all of my spammed out accounts to gmail.

Also, you were the first to reply so you won. I decided to give away a second one by narrowing down the topic and the other dude won the second account.

damn mihail.. this was included in the bottom of your spam mail! B)

"Too much spam in your inbox? Yahoo! Mail gives you the best
spam protection for FREE! http://uk.mail.yahoo.com" :sigh:
You have a deal with yahoo there?

HELL NO!!! The bastards are even spamming the spam mails (they spam every mail)!

Guess those spam filters are blocking the mails of my girlfriend containing "i love you" but no the most obvious "spam/casion/free porn/etc."

Something's more than wrong here...
