Graphics Card

Ok, so about 6 months ago I bought an Emachenes T3882 computer for $279 (wich, by the way, was an extremely good price). I was extremely desperate for a new computer, owning an ancient windows 98. But here I find myself with one of the crappiest PCs on the market, espacially for gaming :wallbash: . I upgraded the RAM from 256 MB to 768 MB. This jacked up the speed alot, but still there's the graphics problem. It came with Intel Extreme Graphics 2, wich is only 32 MB and has no hardware lighting or vertex/pixel shaders.
Now down below there's a link to the specs for my system, and I'm asking for some help choosing a new graphic card. Also if you have any other suggestions, I'm all ears!

Well, if you got a new computer for <$300, you should expect it to be crappy :lol:

It looks reasonable except for the graphics. I would probably get a GeForce 5700 or if you can afford it a 6800. One thing it doesn't say on there anyplace is if it has an AGP slot or not. You'll need to crack the case open to see.

There might be a PCI card option that should work fine even for some of todays games. Although they're at the minimum chipset-wise, but there are some that sport enough memory, for example the Radeon 9250, or the 9550 to name a couple.
