I most interested in the latest character technology. Games are too pre-ocupied with things.
OP: I think that is an impossible question to answer. Games tend to be more advanced in certain areas. For instance, Oblivion is graphically wonderful but the AI can be pitiful. Ghost recon has a great set of player mechanics, but again the AI are a bit stupid. (sorry, alexndr, I don't mean to pick on your choices  )
Is there a particular game area that you are interested in?

My favourite it the Unreal engine. Its the easiest to use and incredibly powerful. We're using at the moment for a xbox 360 title. Its so good we've been able to let designers make the prototypes without programmers.
Can you tell us what game?

The Source engine is no doubt king when it comes to character related technology
not to mention a hell of a lot of other things.

Is it early in production or are you just (sensibly) paranoid about your NDA? Perhaps *where* you work?

Yep you're right its in early production so at any point the publisher could still cancel the project. I dont want to start any rumours. No matter how small!
No worries! Forgive my pushiness then
