ELECTRIC ARTS SENIOR AUDIO DIRECTOR CHARLES DEENEN TO DELIVER KEYNOTE AT GAME AUDIO CONFERENCE
Impressive speaker roster includes audio directors, sound designers, and leaders from throughout the industry
The Game Initiative, the leading producer of conferences for professionals in the computer and video game industry, today announced Charles Deenen, the Senior Audio Director of Electronic Arts Vancouver, is set to speak at the first annual Game Audio Conference (GAC) on September 6-8, 2006 in Austin, Texas, the Live Music Capital of the World. Deenen rounds out the GACs already impressive speaker roster which features industry-leading audio directors, sound designers, and executives. Early-bird registration is now open for the conference at http://www.GameAudioConference.com and offers a 40 percent discount until July 21st.
In his more than twenty years in the industry, Charles Deenen has leant his hand to over 200 games including Enter the Matrix and Need for Speed: Most Wanted, numerous films, and dozens of film trailers, leading to four Golden Reel Award nominations. He is currently working as Senior Audio Director at Electronic Arts Vancouver.
"We are very excited to add Charles as keynote to our Game Audio Conference roster, said Christopher V. Sherman, Executive Director of The Game Initiative. Other speakers featured on the roster include: Alistair Hirst (CEO, Omni Interactive Audio), Clark Crawford (Project Audio Director, Midway Studios Austin), Heather Sowards (Media Producer, Sony Online Entertainment), Tracy W. Bush (Audio Director, NCsoft), Peter Drescher (Sound Designer, Danger, Inc.), and Tom Hays (Director of Audio Services, Technicolor Interactive Services).
In addition to its speakers, the GAC will offer advanced game audio sessions designed to educate industry professionals, spark discussion, and propose solutions to some of game audio's most daunting challenges, Sherman says.
