Mayby start with some open source to get a feeling for the new language. You could go over to something a little more controlled like Python which has support for several open source engines (Ogre, SDL, ...) or C# or Java or whatever. Or go straight on with C++. You can do a lot with the Unreal Engine and UnrealScript but if you want to release anything it will be expensive. Then the open source engines are a good choice.

I learned C++ in like about 5months or less, but also, for GameDesign and all that, I needed more knowlegde and I needed to learn other ProgrammingLanguages as well.
I started studying C++ when I was 10 years old, I am now 15 years and just finished my GameEngine, but I still need some help with things, also I am using vbGORE for my 2D MMORPG, then I'll use my GameEngine once I get it finished the way I want it, I have a whole team of people helping.
Like 5 Others.
I suggest you learn C++, C#.
I know C++, C# & Visual Basics6.0.
It's good to know more than one lanuage.

You can't buy the unreal engine... and you wont be able to license it either unless you're a very rich 15 year old http://www.unrealtechnology.com/html/licensing/terms.shtml
Its probably best if you use the latest version of http://www.unrealtournament.com/ and make a mod for that.

They're talking about a scripting language, which still, is no such thing as a GameMaking Language, email anybody that is working on a game and is a pro at programming languages.
Like email spodi@vbgore.com
He'll tell you as I am telling you as well.

It's the language that is used to script GameMaker, so it's the GameMaker language. Regardless of whether it's a scripting language or not.

If you people think that there is a Game Making language that creates games, then this forum is useless.
If there was a gamemaking language; people making games with that language, then all the games would all be the same.
I rest my case.

You rest your case?
Game Maker is a proper noun.:wallbash:
What is this (http://www.gamemaker.nl/doc/html/211_00_scripts.html)? A programming language for Game Maker? Surely not? Just read the very first sentence.

You don't understand. GameMaker is a piece of software (see website (http://www.gamemaker.nl/)) that allows users to make simple 2D games using a drag-and-drop interface. The language smobby was referring to is the scripting language that is built into this program. No one is claiming that there is a single language to make all games. But even if all games were written in one language, say C++, all games wouldn't be the same. Your "case" is nonsensical.
I'd suggest you not be so quick to conclude things like "this forum is useless." There are many people here who have a lot more experience than you and it's more likely that you are wrong in some assumption than that they are wrong. I respect your accomplishments so far, but please realize that you still have a lot to learn!

Everyone has a lot to learn, even the pros have a lot to learn, there's always something new.
Also why couldn't ou guys explain that to me earlier??
I thought you were saying that there's a language that can create games...
Sorry if I didn't understand correctly.
