And Korean ofcourse. Interesting that there is so many "apartheid" in mmorpg-land between western mmorpgs and asian mmorpgs. But that is another story ofcourse.

English... mostly.
If you mean programming languages then most likely C++, C, C#, or Java. |

I would guess mostly C++. Although C# seems to be getting very popular these days.

I've knowledge of a few and I'd have to say that they with out a doubt will you a combination of languages. Probably things like SQL, C++, and something to provide scripting.

Most MMORPG's use C++ (i *guess*) but C# will soon be the one language to rule them all. ^__^ (from what i've heard is C# basicaly a bettered version of Java but faster and Java a bettered version of C++ but way slower) Quote:

That is because of the mmorpg apartheid. It is an english article, asian people play asian mmorpgs and don't write english articles, western people write english articles and play english mmorpgs. |

I'm not sure how you reached that conclusion as there are many asian made MMORPGS in the list. Mind you that even if a game has an "English" name, it doesn't mean it actually is, and most games have localized versions for each country anyway. MMORPGS are insanely popular here in Asia, a lot more than in the west so it's pretty safe to say that English language is playing a minor role in the MMORPG markets these days. |
