![]() Description Welcome to a post-apochalyptic environment where famine is widespread and harsh climatic conditions have caused the collapse of civilized society. In this broken world, it is every man for himself in a struggle for survival... Actually this image shows a level that I whipped up in Roblox. Roblox is a multiplayer world entirely composed of plastic building blocks. Every brick in the environment is physically simulated and thus all buildings are completely destructible (as you can see in the screenshot above). Every Roblox user gets a personal place to build whatever they want. Some make build fighting games, others make flight simulators, many just build locations that are fun to explore. One guy created his own soccer game. We ship with a powerful level editor and we embed Lua scripting to give power users huge flexibility in executing their visions. Roblox has been in public alpha test for 8 months. We have 21,000 users (7,000 active). It's totally free. Roblox is hiring We are searching for graphics and/or physics developers. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS * 3+ years experience developing user-intensive products with C++ * BS or MS in CS or equivalent education or experience * Demo examples of your past work * Deep C++ knowledge with an understanding of template programming * Game development experience * You have a proven history of achievement: creative, intellectual, academic, and/or professional We are funded by a group of successful CEOs and professional angel investors. We offer competitive salary and stock options. We're looking for someone who has always wanted to build something like ROBLOX! Please send inquiries to john at roblox dot com. |

Ah, nice, I remember an other screenshot, ages ago, probably here or on flipCode. The combination of physics and networking seems a challenge to me. Good luck with it!

Pretty cool. I added a chapel to your brick world, although some atheists came in and put a down right end to that, haha.
