Game middleware firm Replica Software has announced that it has released version 6.1 of its ReplicaNet object oriented C++ library, engineered to help the developer of applications that require a stable and low maintenance middleware solution to networking.
Included in this release is a fully integrated lobby library called RNLobby which includes user account, chat services, friends lists and private messaging, NAT detection and punch-through, game listing advertisement, persistent statistics tracking, license key verification and binary difference patching.
ReplicaNet and RNLobby services are being used by 3000AD's latest games All Aspect Warfare and Angle of Attack.
