Intel News: Unreal Tournament Mod Winners & Student Game Dev Competition

To encourage game development and experimentation in creative mods, Intel made two gave development contest announcements today at SIGGRAPH. More information is available at Intel's press room.
  • Epic Games and Intel announced the Phase 3 Winners of the $1 Million Intel Make Something Unreal contest for standout mods created for Unreal Tournament 3. Approximately 50 finalists were selected in this round. The final qualifying phase of the competition will close on August 31 to select the last group of finalists who will be considered for grand prizes. Make sure you check out the phase 3 winners.   • Intel is sponsoring Dare to be Digital, a 10-week game development competition for students hosted at the University of Abertay Dundee in Scotland. The competition challenges 15 groups of students to develop a playable game, culminating in a final event, ProtoPlay, that will be open to the public.
