Mo’Minis unique development platform and business model provides direct revenue sharing with game developers

Tel Aviv – July 27, 2009 – Mo'Minis, builder of a unique platform for the fast production of mobile games, allows developers to earn money from creating original mobile games. The winners of the GameCast #1 contest have already earned significant revenue with a minimal amount of development effort, thanks to Mo’Minis technology.

* Tomer Mlynarsky and Yaniv Bussi won for their game: Animal Farm Mayhem
* Koren Lavie won for his game: Snakedelia
* Stoyan Mollov and Petar Trandafilov won for their game: Pyxxis

"We were blown away by the creativity of our winners and how well they leveraged the advantages of our solution," states Eyal Rabinovich, VP Community & Content, Mo'Minis. "One winner works as a pictures framer; with the Mo’Minis platform, we provided him with a flexible tool allowing him to express his creativity and opening the door to an entirely new career as a mobile game developer.”

The contest leaders shared more than $10,000 in prize money and revenue from game distribution. The top 15 games were selected from among dozens of submissions from developers, graphic designers and animators from around the world.

All entrants will benefit from the ongoing revenue their games earn via mobile downloads; many of the games have already been picked up by major outlets such as RayFusion and orange Israel. Mo’Minis launched GameCast #1 with the collaboration and support of Sun Microsystems and orange, Israel.

Mo’Minis technology allows developers at every level to rapidly create original quality games from scratch, with no programming required. Mo’Minis then monetizes the games via its distribution network of aggregators, publishers, operators, and off-deck portals. In addition, Mo'Minis Studio supports a full range of mobile handsets, therefore increasing distribution channels and thus revenue possibilities.

“Developing an original mobile game sounded intimidating when we first heard about the contest,” say Tomer and Yaniv, the winners of the first prize. “When we tried Mo’Minis Studio, it let us apply complex logic via an easy-to-use interface, and voila, we created an award-winning – and financially rewarding – game.” For information about the winners and their games visit http://www.mominis.com/gamecast1/winners.php?sr=3.
GimmiCast #1, the next Mo’Minis contest, is accepting entries now. Developers, we invite you to build a unique game or mobile entertainment application that leverages your creative approach to the world, featuring a “gimmick”. The game should be based on a quirky idea that distinguishes your game from all others, such as a current event, region-specific theme, humor, etc.
Try your hand at winning the next contest. Register at http://www.mominis.com/contests/gimmicast1?sr=3, download the latest version of Mo’Minis Studio, and get started. Games must be submitted by September 10 and winners will be announced a week later.
