Stonetrip announced a new community website that will provide more resources for ShiVa developers and those interested in developing games and apps on the leading engine. Over the past few months, the company has added support for four new platforms (Wii, Palm webOS, Android, iPad) to the engines existing iPhone, PC, Linux, Mac and browser-based capabilities. Stonetrip also recently launched the fastest and lightest Web player for 3D apps and games in February. All of this activity has ignited the growth of the ShiVa 3D platform to more than 22,000 licensed developers. To support the expanding group of ShiVa 3D developers and fans, Stonetrip has responded with a new community website, located at: http://www.stonetrip.com/developer/
Our community is passionate, smart and growing rapidly, said Philip Belhassen, CEO of Stonetrip. As more people find out about the power and ease-of-use of the platform, as well as our single license program, we know that we need to also have the best resources and tools outside of ShiVa 3D for the community. The new community site will fulfill that need as we grow the engine and show the world what ShiVa can do!
The new community website is up and running with a lot of helpful features including Forums, Tutorials, a Wiki, Blog, Documentation, and Downloadable Code Samples. A key aspect of the site is that the community can comment and share their experiences with the software and build relationships with other ShiVa developers. The site will continue to grow and add additional functionality that makes developing on ShiVa 3D even easier including Facebook Connect, more tutorials and other features that support the community. New features include:
Social Share and Polls Community members can share their comments on Facebook and other popular social networks, and polls to gauge what everyone wants to hear about
Code and Sample Downloads Code to test out features of the engine, or to add to your next project
User Contributions to Documentation ShiVa 3D users commentary on features and sharing of experience
HD Video Tutorials and Walk-Thrus Community members and the ShiVa team providing HD-Quality videos to educate users on how to use the features of ShiVa 3D, complete with ratings and comments
Enhanced Search Find everything faster as the site is being fully indexed on Google
