BlitzBasic

Blitz Basic originated on the Amiga computer many years ago as a programming language that combined the ease of Basic with the speed of 68000 Assembly language. That old version has been renamed AmiBlitz (http://www.blitz-2000.co.uk/) and released as open-source code. Replacing it are Blitz3D and BlitzMax (http://www.blitzmax.com/) for Windows, MacOS X, and Linux.
