Herb Sutter

Herb Sutter is one of the major C++ gurus. He's a member of the ISO C++ standard comittee and a columnist for Dr. Dobb's Journal and C/C++ Users Journal. He has written excellent books which are however aimed at the more experienced C++ programmer
