SDL Mixer

The mixer module of SDL can load and play back several music formats including several music module formats: .XM, .MOD, .IT, .S3M, as well as Ogg Vorbis, and (with the inclusion of the Timidity midi map on the non-Windows platforms) MIDI.

It also plays back .WAV files as sound effects asychronously and independantly of the music player.
