Hello there!
I'm Hans Törnqvist, "coelurus", a 20 years old student studying applied physics in Chalmers in Sweden. Since my main interest should be rather obvious, I'll just dig into the details: Before 2000, I messed around with gfx programming in DOS from where I learnt most of my 'hack'-style programming. I touched OpenGL but pretty effects (shader programs and similar) were not particularly interesting at the time. I then got a TI83+SE graphing calculator and I wrote Gemini, the first proper realtime 3D FPS for the TI83-line of calculators. I went back to computers and I've been working on and off on a plugin engine ever since.
Other interests:
- Shredding on my e-guitar - I can pick 18 individual notes/s on really good days, but it generally lies around 13-15.
- Card-magic - truly mind-boggling tricks are simply extraordinary, gotta practice some more on this...
- Throwing cards - recent hobby, I can hit (big) targets from outside my room but that's far from my initial goals.
- Sketching - I love drawing silly pictures or comics, like a "tank with a stomach stitch" or really gory events.
- Watching movies - they should be imaginative and cute.
- Watching Mythbusters - childish and inspiring, right up my alley.
- LEGO robots - I quit this a couple of years ago, after I had built a biped with shifting center of gravity, a Rubik's cube twister etc.
I think those are my primary interests, so I'll leave it at that. About the future, hum... No idea what I'm gonna do, I'll get a degree in applied physics and then we'll see :)
