I am 32 and have been programming since I was 9. Mostly in BASIC starting on the Commodore 64. Some of the languages I've used since then include COMAL, Fortran77, and several other dialects of BASIC.
Nowadays I mostly use Python and C and am helping in the development of a freeware Basic compiler called Mattathias that will translate old Amiga source code written in AmosPro to C using SDL (http://www.libsdl.org/) as the multimedia support thus making the code multiplatform compliant.
I am currently a university student majoring in computer science and showing a particular interest in compilers. The languages I've used in my university education so far include: Python, Java, and MIPS Assembly.
I am also helping to update a turns-based strategy game called Total Chaos so it will run on Amiga computers using graphics cards and sound cards rather than banging on the native Amiga multimedia chipset.
For my undergraduate research project I'm doing a Music Module Compiler for the Amiga related platforms.
